Although Arts Educators Group is primarily known for music education and music therapy, through our association with The Music Place and Soaring Spirit Dance Studio, we have access to wonderfully trained dance educators.
We offer unique dance options such as Inclusive Adaptive Dance (Dance Adventures) open to those with neuro-diversity, and Christian emphasis classes (Worship Dance) that are not available in typical dance studios. These unique classes are offered in small spaces and have limited class size to accommodate the spaces as well as the neuro-diversity of the students.
Dance Adventures
- This class will explore different dance concepts such as level, space, focus, direction etc. and have fun with a variety of dances such as folk dances, line dances, circle dances, modern community dances, and choreographed dances that include simple ballet, modern and jazz movements.
- Students will have the opportunity to create their own dances and explore them with in the realm of the concepts that they are learning if they so desire. Class schedule will include a warm-up, brain dance, practicing the concept of the month, working on technique, and learning dances!
Worship Dance
This class has a Christian emphasis and use various dance forms to express worship through movement. Class includes, warm-ups, technique and choreography of worship music and is offered by request only. Bi-annual ministry performances during music recitals are available.
